S.3.1 Creating
In this artifact, I created a branched training called “Survival Skills for the Technical Support Professional.” It emphasizes the skills needed to be successful in a support role. Junior Support engineers are the intended audience. I developed the training using some of the principles of multimedia principles learning. I narrated text as indicated in voice principle. I stated the context of the learning as in the pre-training principle. The training also includes interaction to promote learners' engagement. This artifact demonstrates my ability to use best practices when developing curriculum.

S.3.3 Assessing/Evaluating
This artifact demonstrates my ability to manage development tools within a context of a technology project. I selected 3 development tools and collected data about them to conduct a cost-benefit analysis that resulted in the recommendation for the best tool. I reviewed price, availability, scalability, and skills. In the process, I concluded that there is a myriad of authoring/development tools available. While it is essential to be skilled, it is also a career risk for Instructional designers to be defined by expertise in a particular tool. More so, in real-life, the choice of technology is driven by availability and skills. Companies are reluctant to spend money on a new product for which they do not possess the skills.

S.3.6 Diversity of Learners
In this artifact, I developed a curriculum to support a corporate diversity training initiative. The need for the training resulted from an observation by the Operation Team that lower productivity characterized by excessive missed milestones were reported for projects that include cross-cultural teams. The curriculum demonstrates my understanding of learners’ backgrounds and other considerations for the content development. Ultimately, the course content was developed as a PowerPoint presentation by the corporate diversity SMEs. As such, the material is proprietary and cannot be published in a public domain without authorization. I have the right to the curriculum that I initially developed as a course project.

S.4.1 Collaborative Practice
I collaborated with peers to conduct a front-end analysis to establish a need for training. Our report includes a need analysis, target audience cognitive, physiological, social and affective characteristics. For this artifact, I performed the need analysis; thus allowing me to survey a sample of the target population. The review the survey data and support the need for training.

S.4.2 Leadership
I led a team of 4 in the development of a web-based platform for learning how to use the PowerPoint to develop graphics. The learning objectives are limited to 2 specific skills. I designed the web interface, and the team provided the content. This artifact demonstrates my ability to work with a team, and also in a different capacity; whether I lead the team or as a team member. In the process, we evaluate several platforms to decide on the best way of delivering this training. We chose to implement it via the web, mainly for easier accessibility.

S.4.3 Reflection on Practice
In this artifact, we propose an online course on Social media for small business owners. To establish the need for a learning opportunity, we reviewed data from the Small Business Administration and Social Media usage marketing forecast. We found that most small businesses lack social media presence and do not understand it well enough to leverage it. Upon graduation, I intend to work as an independent consultant for corporate training and development. In that regard, this artifact as allows me to fully understand the power of social media marketing to promote my services. In this project, I worked on the plan for design and development.

S.5.2 Method
In this artifact, we researched whether the use of digital assistant could increase vocabulary retention amongst children with cerebral palsy. We reviewed several past research to confirm the need for our projects. Previous studies have reported that using AAC devices helped students with learning disabilities. Our research focuses on using digital assistant such Amazon Alexia. In this project, my tasks consisted of reviewing previous research papers and synthesizing the results to establish the significance of our research and propose a clear research question for which we developed a sound method. This artifact demonstrates my ability to conduct research but also to apply research methodologies.
Note: We did not conduct the research, we developed the methodology.

S.5.3 Assessing/Evaluating
In this artifact, I created a prototype for a game that will be used in a training curriculum as a scenario based learning. In the development process, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of the learners, existing technologies, scalability, and other technical resources to ensure a successful delivery of the final product. To meet the projected learning experience and the stated objectives, I recommended that the game is deployed in an infrastructure that is easily maintainable.

S.5.4 Ethics
In this artifact, I researched Emerging Technologies and Learning. I emphasized mobile learning as it pertains to corporate and software training. I demonstrated ethics by using accepted and professional guidelines by adequately citing sources for ideas that I have adopted. In this paper, I also argued challenges that organizations could face when implementing mobile learning.
